It dawned on me, about 3 am this morning, that in my blog post of Sunday, June 27, 2010, I forgot to give the links for Ms. Margo and Beverly Stephan! All I can say is, “Boy! Is my face red!!!” So without further ado, here are the links — and I’ve also listed them in my Links section. Ms. Margo, “the Bone Reader” is http://www.thebonereader.com and you can write to her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Beverly Stephan, “Mystical Visionary Artist” link is http://www.beverlystephan.com.
I know I linked Magic Wind Flutes on the link pages, but will put it here as well. He is at http://www.magicwindflutes.com and they are the sweetest sounding Native American Flutes that I’ve heard since leaving the West. I listened to the various flutes that were played and the sounds just moved ones spirit and was very soothing. The gentleman makes all of his own flutes and uses woods from all over the world.
Do go and look at these peoples web sites and when you go, please leave a comment and let them know that Terri at the Drake’s Nest recommended their site.
Oh, if you are going to be in Oscoda, Michigan July 10-11, 2010 (Sat. 10 am – 5 pm; Sun. 10 am – 4 pm), you might go to the Huron Shores Mind Body Spirit Festival. According to their brochure, “We mix the old with the new, we innovate, inspire and support, we create an authentic space for like-minded individuals to come together and commune in the spirit and fun, self-exploration, self empowerment and self-improvement.” It will have psychic readings, spiritual healing, alternative health, books, music, aura photography, jeweler, massage, astrology, crystals, beauty healthy eating, arts and crafts, such as quilts, and much, much more. The festival is located at Shoreline Beach Park on N. U.S. Highway 23, behind the Oscoda-AuSable Chamber of Commerce on a scenic park with a winding park leading to beautiful sandy Lake Huron.
So, if you’re in the neighborhood, please do stop and see what they have. Who knows, you might just find something you can’t do without! I have no affiliation with the festival, just a past customer who thoroughly enjoyed herself and wanted to share the info.
Well, tonight is first night of Alpena Civic Theatre’s “Radio Mysteries” play in Alpena, Michigan. I will be playing the part of Agatha Christi in just one of the acts being performed. Tonight’s performance is for special needs and developmentally challenged people so that they may enjoy themselves without worry about crowds. The real performances are July 2 and 3 at 7:30 pm and again July 9 and 10 at 7:30 pm and July 11 at 2:00 p.m. The Theatre is located in Alpena, Michigan on River Street and 4th – Take U.S. 23 North to 4th Street, turn right (if headed north) and the Theatre is right there. Parking is free. Hope to see you there.
Now, I must run and get ready for the performance, which means fix the hair, get in to my costume, apply very little makeup, get in the truck and head to the theatre. I have to be there early to help set up for the intermission refreshments and make sure that the actors know when they are due on stage. Will let you know how the performance went when I return.
Have a great day and, if you’re experience the stormy weather we’ve had here in Ossineke, Michigan, please stay dry and stay safe!
