Happy Holidays!

WOW has time flown by fast! The holidays have snuck up on me and Thanksgiving has come and gone. Hard to believe that the end of another year is near. It is my sincerest wish that each and every one of you enjoy the upcoming holidays surrounded by the love of family and friends. May your blessings be many and your sorrows few.

My DH and I managed to get away for a few days over the Thanksgiving holidays since our son was not able to get away and join us at home. So we decided to go to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the casino there for Thanksgiving and just enjoy a little quality time together. Since he is on standby 24/7, I time together is precious and we decided to get away from phones, faxes and pesky telemarketers selling all the latest in gotta haves and those asking for money. You can only do but so much for so many people at any one time. We had a delightful time and even walked away with a nice jingle in our pockets. This allowed us to do some holiday shopping for things we had put off. Almost got snowed in while there as well. It started snowing Thanksgiving day and didn’t stop until Saturday! Lake effect snow is something one has to behold to understand and driving in it was a whole new experience for me.

I will be having surgery over the holidays so may not be able to write for a while. Left arm is being operated on to do what they call a cubical tunnel release. Not serious, just puts you out of commission on what you can and can’t do for a while.

It has snowed here in Ossineke, Michigan off and on all day and the pond is now covered with beautiful ice crystals as well as some loose blowing snow. It makes everything really feel Christmassey and magical, especially with snow on the lights.

So, once again, if I don’t get the chance to write, Merry Christmas, Happy Hunaka, and Happy Holidays to everyone! Stay warm.

Hi Terri I’ve missed you! Glad you stayed safe in the snow, yes lake effect snow can be something else. Hope the surgery goes well and that you have a wonderful Christmas!

Hi Terri, I am glad you had some quality time for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. I hope you will have a good and speedy recovery from the upcoming surgery. My DH has spent to terms at the hospital and will have his 3rd in January.
I would love to see some photos of all that snow and no, I don’t want it here this year. I am the one doing the driving and it is a 2 hour drive to N.O. for the Dr. and surgery.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
