Quick Update

Well, as the old saying goes, “the best laid plans …” I had all the best intentions of revamping the site and getting things loaded to sell on the website and/or on Etsy. Unfortunately life has a way of changing the best of intentions.

I am now in the process of packing up to move from Michigan to Florida! We have purchased a new home and are just waiting on a settlement date. Your patience is so appreciated. Once moved and unpacked, I can concentrate on getting all in order here at the Drake’s Nest. A messy and disorganized “nest” makes one in a “fowl” mood. 🙂

Here at the Nest summer has refused to arrive. It is a balmy 64, breezy and sunny. At least the cooler temperatures keep the biting bugs away. My apple, cherry, pear and peach trees aren’t sure whether to keep growing their fruit or drop their leaves. Have a feeling that, like last year, we won’t have a crop of fruit.

Will try to pop in from time to time during the packing/move/unpacking/organization to say howdy and let you know what, if any, adventures we’ve had.

All the best and keep your sunny side up!

Terri who is gathering up her nest to move to warmer climate!

A lot going on in life right now, Terri. I’ll be here when you are settled into your new home and have time to breathe and get back to blogging, etc. I’m so excited and happy for you and the move!
We have the heat here, but at least I don’t think we’ll hit the 100 mark today (fingers and toes crossed).

    • So nice of you to drop in and visit. If I ever see another 18-30-gallon packing tub it will be too soon! LOL. Right now it looks like we’re on track to settle on the 29th. Keeping fingers crossed. We got up to a whopping 73 here in Northern Michigan. Could not believe people swimming in Lake Huron, coming out a light shade of blue and telling people “the water’s not cold” through chattering teeth.   Be glad when I can get back to the creative side of life and get things going on the website and start doing patterns and such here on the blog.   All the best!
