Hope that one and all, no matter what part of the world you live, had a safe and happy new year celebration. Some parts of the country had snow, others recovering from fires caused by extended drought and still others were dealing with unseasonably warm temperatures. May 2017 find the world a little calmer and more peaceful. May people work together rather than against each other and may we no longer judge a person by the shade of their skin, where they live or what their religious beliefs, if any, may be. When you get right down to it, we all bleed the same and we all die the same. I have yet to see black, blue, yellow or white blood … it’s all R-E-D. So let’s work together to help bring peace not only to our world but to our communities. As the song so aptly put it, “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”
My next post will start dealing with the beginnings of my journey to become an expat and move to Ecuador. Keep in mind that each country has different requirements on what is needed or not needed in paperwork, cost, residency requirements and such. I will basically be dealing with what is necessary for Ecuador, which will at least help those thinking of living in another country about what it takes to accomplish that dream and help make the process less confusing.
I leave you with this thought, there is beauty everywhere in the world, you have but to look and open your eyes to see it.
All the best and God bless each and every one of you. May you enjoy all the very best that life has to offer.
